Conductor and composer Jordan Gudefin is developing a career at the crossroads of the symphonic repertoire and film music. He came to international attention in 2017 as a finalist at the Besançon International Competition for Young Conductors, and has since collaborated with numerous leading orchestras.
He has conducted, among others, the Orchestre National de Lyon, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, the Orchestre National de Montpellier, the Orchestre National d’Auvergne, the Orchestre Symphonique de Mulhouse, the Gürzenich-Orchester Köln, and the Orchestre Les Siècles.
Originally trained as a percussionist and awarded at the Cannes International Competition in 2010, he developed an early sensitivity to orchestral color and rhythmic energy, which continues to inform his work as both conductor and composer.
Since 2023, he has been Principal Conductor of the Sinfonia Pop Orchestra, with which he leads numerous film music productions. He has established himself in this field through large-scale projects, including the Disney in Concert tours (since 2021) and Marvel Infinity Saga. He has also conducted May the Force at the Grand Rex (2024), the opening concert of Paris Games Week (2025), and will lead the World of Warcraft production in France in 2026. Upcoming major projects include Hook in concert and a tour of Star Wars: Episode IV in major arena venues (Zéniths) in 2027.
Alongside this, he maintains a regular activity as a guest conductor in the symphonic repertoire.

As a composer, Jordan Gudefin creates tonal, rhythmic, and energetic music, influenced by the languages of Shostakovich, Prokofiev, and Poulenc, while integrating colors of film music inspired by John Williams, as well as jazzy elements. The rhythmic energy and harmonic language of his works are key to his distinctive style. Winner of the Fondation Banque Populaire award in 2014, his compositions have since been performed by prestigious ensembles around the world, including the Garde Républicaine, the U.S. Navy Band, the Bucharest Radio Orchestra, the Orchestre Régional de Normandie, the Granada Symphony Orchestra, as well as by soloists such as Claude Delangle, Sébastien Giot, and Branford Marsalis.
Jordan Gudefin is an artist with remarkable passion and commitment. His ability to transcend genres and create memorable experiences makes him a talent to watch closely in the world of music.
